Codes and conventions of Genre (Nike example)
The Nike risk everything advert isn't very conventional as it is six minutes long. But it puts some younger people on a pitch pretending to be their favourite football stars. They put all the football products on the adverts so they are conventional to dress code. They then go to a full stadium which is also a convention because you’d expect to see. The form is an advertisement so their endorsements make them able to attend every session. However, some might be busy so you wouldn’t expect to see them all. You can tell that they wanted to make the brand important because every match on action puts on a person wearing a Nike branded kits, this is including: Boots, shirts and the shorts on some of the cuts. But they also put a main focus on the players making their kit just as important as them, kids will think that because their favourite footballers (there should be one because there's players from all around the world) are wearing them. The main message is you can build on your imagination and become as good as them if you wanted to. As I have said previously celebrity endorsement is key here. This is evident because they rely purely on the celebrities so the age targeted is children because of the simple language and movements used. In terms of demographics the class targeted is about C to D class because it shows where the people came from first of all and it seems to be relatively working class and lower class based on what they are wearing, the mise-en-scene is important here.
